which one!?

I ended up not abiding my own goal to keep today as a work free day, I was too excited about a new character that instead of going off of the previously shown Nun character I decided to just go ahead and do a ton of new silhouette sketches, and I picked 3 that I liked and refined them!

And I'm sure you're asking yourself now: "3 Silhouettes you say?! but there are FOUR Silhouettes in the image above!"

And to THAT I answer:
The 4th silhouette is a joke character, I just want to see if someone recognizes who it is, (my guess is Ricardo will laugh ones he realizes who the 4th character is) I don't think I will model character number 4 but if enough of you like her over the other three characters... I might consider it...

ANYWHO! Just tell me which one you think will create the most interesting character!
ANY suggestions are welcome
Just looking for some input since I'm away from school it's hard to get a good discussion started (that and It gives me something to entertain myself with...) but I'm going to try my darnedest!

steam-punk WIP 4

I'm just posting for progress, This is what I have done with my re-concepted furnace/boiler/generator... in my earlier "concept" I did wasn't sufficient... let alone interesting enough to follow through with... I really just rushed to build the thing without thinking too much about it... so I put a lot of research into it and now it's supposed to be a scavenged steam-engine modified to generate electricity.... A lot of the bits and pieces are missing (a lot of the parts that actually make it a 2-way valve system for instance) but this is the over-all look of the thing, all I need to do is add some magnets around the generator and all of the smaller parts of the 2-way valve system ... ya that's a long description... This isn't the whole scene because I haven't worked on the other parts recently, this is just for the engine.

some more stuff that i drew @ work

some more studies of antiques.

poetry slammer

I attended a poetry slammer the other night and did some drawings of the coffee pots and came home and did a small bad painting and put the drawing over the painting in photoshop. What do you guys think?

fun with zbrush

zbrush is so intuitive, i wanted to try a bit of sculpting (especially since 3ds max is not working for me) so from polysphere to a kinda self portrait. with a mouse..

sketchbook page

I haven't really done much art (yet!) (actually, I haven't even thought about making any sort of art other than sketchbook doodles...), but I felt bad about not posting on this blog. Here's a doodle I did in my sketchbook the other day.

Hey, I have a blog, now!

Hey, guys! Hope everyone's having a good summer, so far. I just realized that I should probably announce that I have an art blog, now!

(the banner's temporary until I get around to making something a bit nicer)

Other than that I haven't been super productive, so far, though I've been trying to do a little bit everyday. I found a tiny sketchbook for free at Swap-and-Drop (oh, how I love Swap-and-Drop!) that I'm planning on doing a little drawing in each day of the summer. Just a little illustration of whatever happens each day. I'll post what I have so far when I get around to cleaning them up a bit.
Anyway, I really love what I've been seeing in this blog so far and I look forward to seeing more posts!

Awesome Post

I liked this blog's post about awesome things. I thought Kat would like the beach glass gown. :D

Steam-punk WIP Day 3

Day 3 of Steam-Punk project... Didn't get to do as much today as I wanted... I actually didn't wake up till 4PM soooo it's obvious to draw conclusions that I'm pretty spacey with around 13 hours of sleep the night before... ANYWHO I did get to work on the furnace finally... I'm still working on how to add a coal pile... I dunno... that's going to be a problem solving event, if you have ANY suggestions please tell me... I think the Chair is pretty much done... I am going to have to add a power line from the [yet to be created] power source to the chair but other than that I think I'm sticking with it as is...

PLEASE give me any critique/ideas you got for me!
It's probably only my current state of mind... but I feel like I'm running out of steam... HAH! STEAM! ya... I'm pretty wiped out...

Steam-punk WIP Day 2

Day 2! Hope it makes a little more sense with the one arm control added... and the control panel...

VS Exhibition!

If you are in Baltimore you MUST COME TO THIS SHOW!
It will have pieces by a lot of local illustrators, BHG artists and MICA alums. You should go show your support of the local illustration/video game/comic book arts community! It's in The Windup Space on North Ave, which is really easy to get to and almost right across from the MICA bank building. If you don't go, the MICA illustration community will be disappointed in you : <

Helloo I haven't seen/heard from any of you guys from a while and I haven't logged into Blogspot in a long time....

I took a pan shot outside my dorm's window. I plan to track the footage and super impose this stuff over it. Eh. This was originally meant to be completed in March for a class assignment.
